The Arthur Conan Doyle Richard Lancelyn Green Collection is split into 3 parts:

• Archives (photographs and documents)

• Books

• Objects (temporarily withdrawn)

Many items have been catalogued and are, increasingly, being added to this website.

A selection of the books from the collection are available for reference use in the Portsmouth History Centre on the second floor of Portsmouth Central Library. No appointment is necessary, but ID is required for access. If you are looking for something specific it is recommended to call or email in advance so the librarian can find the books you seek.

Access to the archives in Central Library are by appointment only, please contact us at least one week in advance to book.
